Prince Charles Hospital Carpark – October 2024

Exciting progress is underway at the Prince Charles Hospital with the construction of a new nine-story, 1507-space multi-storey car park. Once completed, this state-of-the-art facility will greatly improve accessibility for patients, visitors, and staff in Brisbane North by addressing parking shortages on the busy campus. The car park, which spans over 42,000 square meters, will feature 14 motorcycle bays, 42 disability parking spaces, and convenient amenities like express entry/exit ramps, bike storage for 90 bicycles, showers, and lockers. It’s strategically designed to support the hospital’s future expansions and includes a unique KNX-controlled lighting system to enhance energy efficiency and safety on all levels.

Cogent Scaffolding is providing the full scaffolding package for this massive build, ensuring secure access and safety with perimeter and handrail installations. Our work continues in collaboration with construction giant Multiplex, who leads the project. This new facility is expected to be completed by late 2024, ready to welcome the Brisbane North community with more accessible and user-friendly parking solution.
