30 Jan Try a Trade Day at Tweed Valley Hospital
Students from across Northern NSW went behind the scenes at our Tweed Valley Hospital site as part of a local careers expo.
A partnership between Lendlease, TAFE NSW and NSW Department of Education, the ‘Try a Trade’ careers expo showcased construction industry jobs and training opportunities to help young people make informed decisions about their careers.
This marks the second Try a Trade for Tweed Valley Hospital, with more than 100 students also visiting the project site back in June 2022.
The Tweed Valley Hospital project is being delivered by Lendlease for Health Infrastructure NSW and comprises a new state-of-the-art hospital for the Tweed-Byron region. The new hospital is on track to open to patients in 2023.
Cogent Scaffolding has been thrilled to participate again in this great initiative that allows our future tradies to get some on-the-job experience to help them to decide on their career path.
It was great to see so many keen students excited to jump on our scaffolding and have a bash! These students are the future of our industry and we might just see a few of them alongside us soon.
Cogent Scaffolding would like to thank our scaffolders on-site for hosting the students on the day and showing them the ropes! A fantastic learning opportunity for all involved.
