Supporting the building of the Neville Bonner Bridge

Supporting the building of the Neville Bonner Bridge

Over the past few weeks, we have been building 2 pier access scaffolds on either side of the Riverside Expressway, 1 on Queens Wharf Road and the other on river side of the expressway.

The scaffolds are for the construction of the piers that will support the Neville Bonner Bridge on the north side of the river.

The bridge will be the first built in Brisbane for more than 10 years and will link two iconic Brisbane destinations, South Bank and Queen’s Wharf, and honour Neville Bonner, the first Indigenous Australian elected to the Federal Parliament.

(Neville Bonner Bridge, now under construction).

The Neville Bonner Bridge will span 320-metres over the Brisbane River from the retail and restaurant level of the integrated resort development to the area in front of the Wheel of Brisbane at South Bank.

The bridge will be complete in 2022 and open with the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane integrated resort in late-2022.
