Cogent Scaffolding is proud to be delivering a full access and protection solution on this project, working with Multiplex, as the primary scaffold and high soffit provider. Leveraging the versatility and engineering strength of the Layher scaffolding system, our team is ensuring safe, efficient, and adaptable access throughout every stage of construction.
From the outset, the focus has been on creating a solution that not only meets site requirements but also considers the safety of workers, the public, and the surrounding environment.
Safe Access with Covered Walkways
A key component of the project is the installation of covered walkways leading into the site. These structures provide essential overhead protection, allowing safe movement for both workers and the public while maintaining uninterrupted site access.
Designed and installed using the Layher system, these walkways combine strength, flexibility, and speed of assembly—ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Environmental Control with Layher Protect Panels
Understanding the impact construction can have on surrounding areas, Cogent has incorporated a wall system into the scaffold design using the Layher Protect Panels. This system plays a critical role in:
- Superior dust and debris containment
- Significant noise reduction
- Weather protection
- Improved aesthetics with a clean, uniform appearance
- Enhanced safety by creating a solid separation between work zones and public area’s
- Fire resistance
- Anti-climb measure
- Anti-mould
The Layher Protect System is a fully integrated, modular panel system designed to attach directly to Layher scaffolding. It provides a robust, enclosed barrier that delivers multiple benefits and unlike temporary sheeting solutions, Project Panels are rigid and reusable, offering a more durable and sustainable approach to site enclosure.
Structural Support with 4-Leg Shoring Towers
To support critical structural elements, Cogent has implemented 4-leg shoring towers across the site. These towers are used to carry bridging beams into position, providing:
- Reliable load-bearing support
- Flexibility to adapt as the build progresses
- Safe and efficient installation of structural components
This ensures that all temporary works are engineered to the highest standard, maintaining stability and safety throughout the construction process.
