The former Children’s Court at 50 Quay Street is being demolished as part of the Queensland government’s affordable and social housing projects.

Investment manager, Cedar Pacific, has been selected to deliver a 32-storey, 475 apartment development on the site of the former Children’s Court at 50 Quay Street under the state’s Build-to-Rent pilot project, and Hutchinson Builders have been awarded the contract for the new build.

The partnership represents a collaboration of the Queensland government and the private sector to deliver 5,600 additional social and affordable homes across Queensland by 30 June 2027.

Cogent has erected perimeter scaffold to assist in the demolition of this project before we begin on the new build with Hutchies in 2024.
