When the Queensland Government approved the establishment of a $1.3bn Children’s Hospital for Brisbane, the site of the Mater car park was earmarked for demolition.
Cogent Scaffolding erected more than 3 500m2 of scaffolding containment for the safe progress of this operation, beginning with the erection of 700m of back propping within the structure so that excavators could work safely atop the site’s fin slabs to begin demolition.
This process was arduous, requiring the dismantling and erection of tons of gear as the machines made their progress through the demolition.
It is another feather in Cogent Scaffolding’s cap that they were able to facilitate this process in step with Delta’s hugely experienced and professional demolition crew.
