St Andrews War Memorial Hospital in Springhill required the extension of an 8-storey building that would allow for the introduction of upgraded and expanded hospital facilities.

It was important that the hospital’s 24 hour-a-day care roster not be impacted by any construction work, and the Cogent team were careful to allow for this in their project planning.

In order to minimise disturbance, an intricate system of internal and external scaffolding, amounting to approx 9 500m² of gear, was erected by the Cogent team. Often, this work was undertaken outside normal business hours to accommodate the client’s needs.

As usual, the job was completed successfully to Cogent Scaffolding’s strict safety standards, and with minimal disruption to hospital staff, patients and patrons.
