Wintergarden is an integrated retail destination in the heart of Brisbane’s premier shopping precinct, the Queen Street Mall.

The work required for this project was carried out in two stages to minimise disruption within the operational retail centre and carpark.

Works involved the demolition of existing structures, underpinning, piling and strengthening works. General refurbishment and redevelopment was applied to an estimated 13,500 m2 of retail space over Level 1, Ground and Lower Ground, of which approximately 2,700 m2 will be dedicated to flagship stores.

Cogent Scaffolding was involved in the demolition of the Regent Theatre and refurbishment of the parts of the theatre that were saved. Many different jobs were undertaken such as false work, birdcages, edge protection etc.

Night works were also carried out by Cogent Scaffolding so that retail shops could continue to trade during the redevelopment.
