Queens Wharf Towers 5 & 6 – Form Support Scaffold

Cogent Scaffolding is proud to be working alongside Infinity Constructions Group on the Queens Wharf Towers 5 & 6 development, delivering specialised form support scaffold solutions on one of Brisbane’s most significant construction projects.

As the project continues to rise, our role focuses on providing critical support to the formwork systems that shape the structure. To date, over 2,100 tonnes of scaffold has been erected across both towers, reflecting the scale and complexity of the works involved.

Form support scaffold is a highly engineered temporary structure designed to carry the loads of wet concrete, formwork systems, and construction activities until the building elements achieve sufficient strength to support themselves.

Unlike standard access scaffolding, form support requires detailed design, precise load calculations, and careful sequencing to ensure both safety and efficiency on site. It must integrate seamlessly with the formwork methodology, accommodate high load demands, and adapt as the structure progresses floor by floor.

This is one of Cogent Scaffolding’s core specialties. Our team works closely with formwork contractors, engineers, and site teams to deliver systems that are not only compliant and safe, but also practical and efficient to install, adjust, and dismantle as the project evolves.

We look forward to continuing our contribution as Towers 5 & 6 take shape and the broader Queens Wharf precinct progresses.
