We are very pleased here at Cogent to have been awarded the scaffolding contact for an exciting new project at the QUT Kelvin Grove campus, as we continue to forge a strong business partnership with our newest client, the very successful and leading national construction company, ADCO Constructions.

 

The project is called the QUT Sports Field and encompasses a 2 storey carpark with a Sports Field on top of the carpark. A very exciting design as you can see from the images! The facility will provide much needed car parking for the campus as well as an enhanced sporting facility for recreational sporting activities.

 

Our work on this project will include building the perimeter scaffold around the carpark to be used as containment screening with access platforms which will act as a working deck for the perimeter of the building, and containment screening protection for the general public.In order to meet ADCO Constructions requirements we have employed the use of an innovative new product called “Scaff Guard”. This product allows us to provide our client with varying deck heights without impeding the node point of the working deck. This also removes any requirement to overlap containment screening providing a much more aesthetically pleasing finish.
